Halloween & Victoria Park fireworks

The local police have this advice for Halloween: “If you are intending to go ‘trick or treating’, please be mindful that not all residents want to be disturbed and be polite when asking for treats.” They’ve also issued a no Trick or Treat Sign for people to print out if they wish. The Evening Standard have a little history of Halloween.

On Sunday 5th November from 7 -7.30pm there will be a free fireworks display in Victoria park. The entrance (by walking) to the free viewing area is from Grove Road in the middle of Victoria Park. There will be numerous road closures around the park.

If you are thinking of having your own display at home the local police suggest that: “Out of courtesy give your neighbours a few days notice of your planned display – this is particularly important if they are elderly, have children or pets.” They also recommend limiting the timing of your display, and finish by 10pm, because it’s an offence to let off fireworks between 10pm and 7am.
