Connaught Opera celebrates songs and fashion from WW1

The Connaught Opera performed ” Bless ’em All” to crowds at the Dementia Café at The Centre on Merchant Street as well as to Donnybrook Court Residents on the 6th November just before Remembrance Sunday.  The performances were organised by Linkage Plus for older residents to enjoy a high class act used to performing at the Albert Hall and other grand venues at their own community centres.

The audiences were taken back in time and enjoyed an hour of songs and fashion popular in this era. Maria changes her dress for every song which adds to the drama and visual spectacular.

Maria Arakie, Glenn Wilson and Nicholas Bosworth make up the Connaught Opera and were delighted with the response to the show.  They can be found at www.connaughtopera.com/

The Connaught Opera regularly perform for older residents across London and if they are in your area viewing is a must!
