Is time being called an another local pub?

The future of another East End pub hangs in balance.  The East End Citizen reports that The Good Samaritan is under threat amidst plans for its refurbishment.

 

The popular pub at 87 Turner Street, E1 was founded by doctors in 1937, and is the regular haunt of medical staff, students and patients of St Bart’s Hospital.

 

Concerned drinkers have launched a petition to save the pub, after an planning application was made to build an extra three storeys on top of it.

 

At the point of posting the petition only needs another 61 names to get to 5000.
