West Ham United v Fulham header

The Geezers had a great local night out at the London Stadium last Friday. 59,950 spectators packed the Stadium on the edge of the Olympic Park to watch West Ham United play Fulham.

Ryan Babel scored for Fulham only three minutes into the game. Geezer, Ray Gipson, said that Fulham had two thirds of the first half until Robert Snodgrass (West Ham) sent two good corners in enabling Chicharito and Issa Diop to score two goals for West Ham.

During the 2nd half Fulham played steadily. There were no further goals until the last minute of the game when Michail Antonio (West Ham) scored with a header taking the score to a 3-1 win for West Ham United.

Ray Gipson said the Geezers got to know the QE Olympic Park Legacy Development Corporation before the Olympics when they were asked to test out some of the venues to make sure they were useable by older people. They were given the tickets to Friday’s match just before Christmas. The Geezers had a very enjoyable evening watching this match.
