Book Now to dine at the Lodge

The Shuffle Festival send their greetings and announce plans for this year’s restaurant in the Lodge in Tower Hamlets Cemetary Park, which will open from 2nd-11th of July.   And don’t forget to put the Day and Night of Saturday July 9th in your diary for this year’s Shuffle Festival. Programme to be announced very soon.

As you know The Shuffle Festival and The Friends Of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park have been working to breathe new life into the beloved ‘40s Lodge, situated among 33 acres of London’s most urban woodland. This year the Shuffle summer restaurant returns and opens up in this historic building for ten days staring on 2nd July.

Shuffle have teamed up with Indonesian extraordinaires Ayam Happy to create the only (and best) Indonesian restaurant in East London. Look forward to dining with views of the dense jungle-like surrounds of the park and participate in the ongoing restoration of The Lodge in this urban oasis. Chef Isadora Tan will cook up an authentic Indonesian three-course feast thick with the incense of this year’s Shuffle theme, ‘Gods And Idols And Light’. Last year we sold out all the seats two weeks before, so get up on it:

A post-dinner evening walk will reveal the wider Shuffle team building in the grounds in preparation for this years’ all day and all night festival on Saturday the 9th July. Enter another world where the city comes alive with the work of local artists and the call of a wilder London…

The restaurant opens on the 2nd July, along with our on-site bar, so come down meet the team and help us create this feverish city festival from the ground up by eating, drinking, building or just standing around talking – all are good human skills, which we like. If you want to be particularly useful, we are still in need of volunteers (whom we consider more than mortals) and especially of the nocturnal variety so sign up here:

Now that we’ve whet your appetite, stay tuned next week for our programme announcement, it’s like never before and will have you begging for more…. or less… or mercy…
