Last night saw the end of an era for the Lord Cardigan in Bow. Friends and regulars drank it dry before Last Orders was called for the final time. The pub is closing to allow the site to be redeveloped for housing and for the re-emergence of the pub as a Gastro Pub. Not because it wasn’t providing a good living and serving the neighbourhood, but because greater profits can be gained from housing and a new clientele.
