Common Thread – celebration of diverse creatives

On Sat 1st Sept 7-30 – 11pm the Crafts Council x Creative Debuts presents a celebration of the diverse creatives in the UK and beyond. They will celebrate the spirit of Notting Hill Carnival by bringing together the works of over 25 artists reflecting on African-Caribbean history, identity, and culture. Expect photography, ceramics, textiles, embroidery, digital art, film, and an opportunity to make something yourself.

This free event for over 18’s only in Rivington Street, EC2A 3AY. Reserve your place on Eventbrite.

Poplar Clothes Swap Thurs 6th Sept from 5 – 8pm.

Take up to 10 items of clothing, shoes, or accessories you no longer wear and receive tokens to spend on a new outfit. The bar and the cafe will be open. The clothes swap is at The Cabin, 82 St Leonard’s Road, London, E14 0QU (beside Balfron Tower). See flyer below.

Bishopsgate Institute Concert Sat 8th Sept 7pm.

This concert is to celebrate the restoration of the Bishopsgate Institute’s 1927 grand piano, which was once owned by Dame Myra Hess. The concert features works from her repertoire. Details and booking here (£13/£10).
