Roman Road Neighbourhood Forum Members, and new members too, are invited to the Neighbourhood Forum 25th March 2017 Public Meeting – 4.00-6.00pm at Chisenhale Art Place. This is an opportunity for both current and prospective Forum members to get an in-depth update on the last year’s work and to discuss the next stage of the Plan’s development. It’s a long term project and they are still at the very early stages and need as much input from the community as possible before starting to look at possible planning policies. So please go and make sure you have a say in shaping your local neighbourhood.
As a Forum member you’ll be able to give your feedback and suggestions on Twitter, Facebook, on our interactive map and at General and Public meetings. If you would like to be more involved, you can also join the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee meets every three weeks and each member is responsible for an area of activity.
They are actively looking for members to join the Steering Committee. In particular they are seeking a Media Officer to manage their communications with Forum members and to build up links with community groups and neighbourhood planning organisations outside of the area too – nothing too onerous but it would call for some Mailchimp and social media action. 🙂
In addition they are seeking a Treasurer to support their Funding Officer ‘Mike’; an Events Officer to support rtheir Membership Officer ‘Nadia’; and a Vice-Chair to support their Chair ‘Alex’. Sharing roles is a good way to lighten the load and make projects fun!
