Here’s a wonderful post in the Londonist about Tower Hamlets on Sea. The 1970s amateur video here is a real delight. My photo above shows another reason to visit Dover as a tourist. It’s the Bronze Age boat in Dover Museum, which was discovered in 1992. Soon after it went on display I went to down to see it. The thing that’s special about this is it’s a 3-3,500 year old cargo boat.

The Geffrye Museum (Hoxton Overground) is closing after the weekend for a two-year revamp. Visit for free 10-5 on Sunday, the last day.

Anna Robison is running a free poetry writing class at Barking Library at 1pm on Saturday 6th Jan 2018.

On Tues 9th Jan from 6pm the Roman Road Trust are running a workshop on arts and culture as part of the Globe Town Common Vision project. Book for free here.
