Celebrate World Water Day at the Canalside Festival

with Chisenhale Dance Space on Sunday 22nd March, 12-4pm

On the 22nd March every year the UN asks us to think about what safe water means to us and what it could mean to the millions of people around the world living without it.

Chisenhale Dance Space is proud to present Canalside Festival – a celebration of World Water Day bringing the Museum of Water and responsive performance to the canal terrace on Chisenhale Road.

What water will you keep?

Museum of Water is a collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories. The Museum invites you to consider the ways in which you enjoy water: do you swim in pools, do you splash in puddles, do you drink from taps?

Choose which water is most precious to you.
Find a bottle to put it in.
Tell us why you chose this water.
We will keep it for you.

Accumulating over two years in different sites worldwide, Museum of Water is an invitation to ponder our precious liquid and how we use it.

Rachel Gomme will be performing Water Bearer, a durational performance that responds to the Museum and the whole water cycle along the bank of the Hartford Union Canal.
