37 Pubs Saved in Tower Hamlets

Last week, Tower Hamlets Council’s Cabinet agreed that 37 of the borough’s most historically and culturally significant venues will be given ‘locally listed’ status.

  1. Dear Geezers,
We thought you would like to know that for nearly five years the Roman road Bow Neighbourhood Forum has been working on a draft Neighbourhood Plan for Bow – that is a plan that people living or working in Bow are writing. Under the heritage section of the draft plan we are proposing to designate all the remaining pubs in Bow as local heritage assets. You can see the draft plan on the Forum website
    http://www.romanroadbowneighbourhoodplan.org
Any comments on the proposed policy can be left on the website, but you can also email.
We appreciate this is a very tough time for all inthe hospitality sector.

    1. Thanks or this Mike. As you can probably guess the Geezers haven’t been able to meet up for a while.

  2. Hi All. We The Geezers have campaigned for a number of years to save Our Pubs in East London. We welcome the new interest by the Council to further our aims. Ray. Geezers Club.
