What a brilliant day out for two coach loads of Bow’s finest, and it was only an hour from Bow.The other good thing about Maldon is not many people know about it and that means it’s never too busy, so don’t tell everyone. What lay ahead was a private charter of Thistle an historic Thames sailing barge.

Maldon is one of the oldest recorded towns in Essex and a walk up the High Street to the crest of the town reveals many buildings whose brick facades conceal medieval timber frames.
It’s also got all of your favourite charity shops an M&S, tea rooms and it’s even got a Spoons with a beer garden.
The Geezers club are very Grateful for the funding we receive from Action For Bow we couldn’t put on a season of coach trips without them.
Over the years that the geezers club has been running we have taken thousands of residents on trips.
As usual a big thank you to Empress coaches for getting us there and back safely.
We will let the pictures do the talking and hopefully we will return next summer.
