About 20 years ago a family friend called Dave Anderson gave chief geezer Eddie Snooks a rather sad and battered mini jukebox. And that’s how we ended up at Play Vinyl. The juke box in question was informally known as a John Lennon juke box.

The one that Eddie was given wasn’t in working condition with a few important parts missing or broken. After a few years of tinkering with it he reluctantly gave up and passed it on to Daniel Nash at Play Vinyl.
Fast forward another five years and Eddie got a call from Daniel to say he had finally managed to get it working. That prompted a geezers visit and a fantastic talk from Daniel on the jukebox itself. We also found out about Daniel’s passion for analogue music and his views on what makes a perfect turntable.
And to thank Daniel for the invite we popped next door to The Royal Oak to buy him a pint. The BBC used the pub as a set for the WW2 time travelling series Good Night Sweetheart.
