Be part of the festival…

Shuffle is on the hunt for any groups, individuals and Cemetery Park wanderers that have ideas for the wider programme. We don’t have any cash to splash but we do have one of the most interesting places in East London and a team that doesn’t wince at the opportunity to do something cool, collaborative and with good community vibes…

This year the theme is MOVEMENT / MIGRATION / PLACE.

If you have an idea please email Kate (kate@shufflefestival.co.uk).

The Lodge is Lodged!

Thank you to everyone who pledged and shared the campaign to reinvent The Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park Lodge! Together we have raised over £58,000 towards a new extension and work has already started! Along with The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park and Tower Hamlets Council we are drawing up plans to recreate the beautiful empty building into a cafe, workshop, community cinema, visitor and heritage centre and permanent home for The Friends.

We think this is an amazingly unique partnership. The Friends and Shuffle now have the ability to collectively design and run a public building to make it the best place imaginable. As we missed out on GLA funding to run a design competition we have taken a leap of faith and have pulled together a team of local architects to design an interior and extension. This design will remain true to the heritage of the cemetery park and the local community.
